Workshops on rural entrepreneurship set

The North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center is holding a series of workshops throughout the state in April focusing on rural entrepreneurship.

The half-day workshops are free and will focus on boosting the environment for small business through topics such as strategies for building regional networks, the do's and don'ts of business networking, and grant opportunities.

The session, "Homegrown Jobs: Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit in Rural North Carolina," will travel to six communities:

  • April 2: College of the Albemarle, Edenton-Chowan Campus, Edenton
  • April 3: Lenoir Community College, Kinston Enterprise Center
  • April 8: Surry Community College, Dobson
  • April 11: N.C. Rural Economic Development Center, Raleigh
  • April 15: Regional High Technology Center, Haywood Community College, Waynesville
  • April 18: Southeastern Community College, Whiteville
