Sierra Club, the country's oldest, largest and most influential environmental organization, is seeking an Associate Advancement Director for Foundation and Corporate Relations to work at the Sierra Club National Headquarters in San Francisco, California.

 Working closely with the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations, the Associate Director, Foundation and Corporate Relations plans and conducts a comprehensive effort to secure maximum financial support for the Sierra Club and/or the Sierra Club Foundation from foundations, and as appropriate, from corporations.  The Assoc. Director assists in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of such prospects and donors and reviews final proposal packages, as well as providing input for donor relations and stewardship.  The Assoc. Director works closely and collaboratively with regional Advancement Directors and Associate Advancement Directors, the Sierra Club's Office of Environmental Programs and other Sierra Club program staff.  Ensures compliance with Sierra Club policies and with relevant grant and foundation requirements.  Candidates will have 3 years prior experience in designing and managing fund raising campaigns for environmental or other non-profit organizations; demonstrated effectiveness with organizing fundraising campaigns and with foundation & corporate donor solicitation; excellent communication and presentation skills; computer proficiency; understanding and familiarity with environmental issues;  valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.  This position requires travel 20% - 40% of the time.   This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual with organizing, fund raising and management experience; to work for a leading, national organization that is making a difference! Please send cover letter and resume (specifying “Associate Advancement Director, Foundation & Corporate Relations” in the subject line) to: resumes@sierraclub.org www.sierraclub.org Sierra Club is an EOE committed to a diverse workforce.
